XBD-TDL Vertical Multi-stage Centrifugal Pump is a new generation product developed according to the standards for water supply and drainage in high-rise buildings and Chinese fire standards. Due to the adoption of an efficient and energy-saving superior hydraulic model, this type of pump has the advantages of high efficiency and a wide range of performance. Moreover, the model is optimized with a more rational distribution, which can better meet the fire protection needs of different floors and Pipe Resistance.

Space-saving vertical design ：Vertical multistage construction with inline suction and discharge - it mounts in the pipeline almost like a valve, occupying minimal floor space. Ideal for high-rise pump rooms and retrofit projects.
Fast, low-cost maintenance ：The cartridge mechanical seal is the main wearing part and can be replaced without disassembling the motor ("easy to dismantle"). No adjustment is needed on assembly; disassembly, inspection and repair are all straightforward, cutting downtime and service cost.

Product Structure

The XBD-TDL is designed for both strength and serviceability:

• Multi-stage impeller assembly - a series of high-efficiency impellers stacked on a common shaft; each stage adds pressure, delivering high head in a compact vertical footprint.

• Inline suction and discharge at the same diameter - the pump installs directly into the pipeline like a valve, keeping the pump room tidy and saving space.

• Cartridge mechanical seal - the main wearing part, replaceable without removing the motor.

• High-efficiency IE3 motor - air-cooled, class-F insulation, IP55 protection.

• Precision bearing support - radial and axial forces are hydraulically balanced for low vibration and quiet running.

• Outlet DN25-DN50 with standard flanged connections.

Model Selection

Define the duty point - required flow (L/s) and head (m) at the design condition, plus available NPSH and the project's motor voltage/frequency.
Pick the nearest standard model from the performance table. When two models are close, prefer the one whose duty point sits near the high-efficiency range; standard-impeller and high-speed pumps are generally preferred, provided NPSH is satisfied.
For pressure-maintenance duty, choose a W-series model sized to hold system pressure and compensate leakage - typically 1-2 L/s at a head slightly above the main fire pump's shut-off head.
If no specific jockey/pressure-maintenance duty is available, estimate it from the main fire pump: jockey pump flow ≈ 3%-5% of the main pump's rated flow, and jockey pump head ≈ 110% of the main pump's rated head.

What standards and certifications does this pump comply with?

The XBD-TDL is designed to Chinese fire-pump standards (GB 6245) and the water-supply/drainage requirements for high-rise buildings. Standard units carry CE certification. If your project requires other certifications or local approvals (for example China CCCF fire certification, UL/FM, or market-specific documentation), tell us your target market and we will confirm the correct version and provide the required documents.
Can this pump also be used for normal (non-fire) water supply?

Yes. The same series is widely used for high-rise building water supply and drainage, long-distance water transportation and production-process circulation, in addition to fire boosting and pressure-maintenance duty.
What is the difference between a fire pump and a pressure-maintenance (jocke) pump?

A fire pump is the main booster that delivers large flow during a fire to fight the fire. A pressure-maintenance (jockey) pump is a small pump that keeps the system pressurized and compensates for minor leakage, preventing the main fire pump from short-cycling. In our range, W-series XBD-TDL models are sized for pressure-maintenance duty (typically 1-2 L/s at a head slightly above the main pump's shut-off head), while higher-flow models handle main fire boosting. Many projects use the same XBD-TDL family for both roles.
