The SOW series horizontal single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump adopts a horizontally split double volute casing, matched with a double-suction self-balancing impeller for stable operation and automatic axial force cancellation. It is equipped with a thickened corrosion-resistant pump shaft featuring high rigidity and long service life, and sealing system ensures reliable sealing and leak prevention. Supported by double-end bearings, it runs smoothly with low vibration and noise. Paired with a standard flange base, it enables convenient installation and strong adaptability, featuring an efficient, durable structure and easy maintenance. With an outlet diameter ranging from DN80 to DN500, it is designed for medium and large flow, medium and high head fluid delivery. Working Principle
The SOW double-suction pump works on centrifugal force , and realizes axial force self-balance via its symmetric double-suction structure. Its operation is as follows:
1. Priming start: The pump chamber is filled with medium; the motor drives the pump shaft and double-suction impeller to rotate rapidly.
2. Dual-end suction: Liquid enters the impeller from both sides, forming a low-pressure vacuum at the center for continuous suction.
3. Kinetic pressurization: Centrifugal force ejects liquid to the impeller edge, .flow velocity and pressure increase significantly
4. Volute diffusion: High-speed fluid passes through the double volute, slows down, gains static pressure and discharges steadily.
5. Axial force self-balance: The symmetric impeller offsets side pressure, bearing only radial load to greatly reduce wear.
